Dr Narendra Laljani

Narendra is a management educator, strategy consultant, executive coach, and
board member. He is an Executive Fellow at Henley Business School, where he
leads the Executive Management Programme, the Strategy Programme, and the
Strategic Innovation Programme.

Narendra has nearly 30 years’ experience in helping executive teams and senior
leaders to further develop their capabilities and become more effective,
particularly with regard to strategy development and execution. He has
consulted extensively at senior management/board level with numerous
international organisations and has taught at several leading international
business schools.

Narendra studied economics and management with a concentration in finance.
He was awarded a doctorate at Cranfield University in 2008 for his research into
the dimensions, development, and deployment of strategic leader capability. He
is the author of Making Strategic Leaders (Palgrave Macmillan, 2009).

Despite his academic credentials, Narendra is not a typical academic. He started
his career with ICI and worked with this multinational for 15 years in a range of
commercial and general management roles in the UK, Belgium, and India. He
has made tough decisions in challenging environments, some right, some wrong,
and carries the scars from these.

Narendra serves on the boards of Goods for Good, a humanitarian aid charity.
He lives near Milton Keynes in England with his wife Karin, son Milan, and two
Labradors, Tiger and Kobe. He enjoys cooking Indian food and is a volunteer at
Amaravati Buddhist Monastery.
