Masanori Kato is an Executive Coach and Organizational Development consultant whose work is focused on human resource development and organizational development. He excels in developing organizations starting from executive coaching for top management. He serves as an advisor on organizational development and succession planning for several companies in Japan.
Before becoming an executive coach, he worked at the Industrial Bank of Japan as an investment banker. From 2000 to 2007, he was one of the founding members for Coaches Training Institute (CTI) Japan, where he led an initiative to introduce the concept of coaching to Japan and worked on its spread among Japanese managers.
He is a visiting professor at IESE and a part-time lecturer at the Graduate School of Business at WASEDA University in Tokyo.
Masanori graduated from Keio University Faculty of Economics in 1987, and received his MBA from University of California, Berkeley in 1992. He also holds a Masters of Esoteric Buddhism from Koyasan University.
Masanori currently resides in Tokyo, Japan.
