“We came together with Change Logic at a critical moment in LexisNexis’ history. Engaging Change Logic dramatically improved our ability to link our execution to our strategy.”
Mike Walsh, CEO
LexisNexis Legal and Professional
LexisNexis is a world-leading legal information services provider with revenue upward of $4B.
The firm established the online legal information industry in the late 1970s, providing a range of legal and business insights to law firms, government agencies, and academic institutions.
In the early 2000s, LexisNexis worked with Change Logic to expand from its core business of legal information to create LexisNexis Risk Solutions, a new Big Data firm that provides analytics to support compliance, customer acquisition, fraud detection, and risk management for companies and government agencies.
This is a classic tale of Ambidexterity. LexisNexis Risk Solutions’ revenue now exceeds that of the mothership.
Change Logic’s Role
Change Logic worked with the CEO and senior team to structure LexisNexis’ growth ambition and strategy. We helped them design a transformation that supported the company’s largest ever product and infrastructure investment, New Lexis.
Over 3 highly-charged days, the teams developed a transformation plan for each principal line of business—innovation, product development, customer experience, and culture. They identified what was keeping them from achieving their goals and framed a series of actions to help accelerate implementation of the new technology infrastructure.
This workshop became a turning point for the team. It helped them develop a plan for renewing the firm’s culture – what became known as the ‘Spirit of Cincinnati,’ a reference to where the session was held.
Change Logic then worked with the team over several years to support the implementation of the new transformation program, bringing cultural renewal to the entire organization.
