They provide data processing for AI and Automation through a cloud-based, on-demand workforce, with a mission to connect one million people in the developing world to digital work.
The Leadership Team set a bold growth objective and needed to make a series of Strategic Choices about the most attractive areas of opportunity, CloudFactory’s unique value proposition, and the best approach to establish a leadership position in the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning ecosystem.
CloudFactory faced the classic scaling challenge: how to add discipline and structure to its efforts in just the right amounts to support its expansion. It needed to combine the experiences of the founding team with the ideas of a new group of leaders hired to grow the firm. CloudFactory’s most critical need was to align around the strategic priorities they needed to execute in order to Ideate, Incubate, and Scale.
Change Logic’s Role
Change Logic has partnered with the CEO and President of CloudFactory for three years to create a repeatable method for meeting its scaling challenges. We have been their advisor, facilitator, coach, and trusted friend; contributing tools and insights to support the team.
Our methods have helped the firm to identify market opportunities, align on investment decisions, and prioritize the technical, organizational, and go-to-market capabilities needed to quickly scale the business.
We worked with CloudFactory’s Senior Team to identify and pursue a portfolio of emerging markets and business models and establish a repeatable test-and-learn innovation discipline. We co-designed a series of sprints to address organizational gaps and provided checkpoints to help the senior team assess progress toward its goal.
Under our guidance, CloudFactory found the capabilities they needed to reach their goals. We developed a scalable Operating Model, improved cross-company coordination, and established a set of metrics to make their progress and business processes more transparent.
